Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
whoa hold the f*ck up that was
FLASH?!?!?!?!?!

I think so. I wasn't really sure, at first I thought it was
Cyborg but @Christopher browns said it was Flash and I think it was too
During Batman's weird little nightmare/dream sequence, you can spot several clues as to the identity of the big villain of the DCEU. Couple that with what appeared to be Parademons attacking the Dark Knight, and, well... it's looking more and more likely that Darkseid, Jack Kirby's most famous DC Comics creation (and one of the greatest comic book villains of all time) is going to make his big screen debut.
The strange symbol carved into the desert there is Darkseid's, while the winged creatures flying around are his Parademon minions...

For reference, here's what they look like when drawn by Jim Lee in the New 52 Justice League re-launch, which featured Darkseid as the team's first big threat, and which was clearly meant to inform their film efforts...

- So, in case you cannot tell because he's almost unrecognizable, the lightning tornado dream sequence echo voice thing is the DC Extended Universe version of The Flash (and that's Ezra Miller in the role). The Flash appearing in mysterious form, kind of like a dream, and possibly from a different point in time, is very much a reference to Crisis on Infinite Earths where Flash was appearing to various heroes trying to warn them of what was to come while he was busy dying later in the story fighting the very same threat.

Just finished... So you'll get an honest review

I liked it. I figured I would. The buildup to the end was pretty long though.

And Lex is like the fukking Riddler/Joker mixed together. Very annoying. He had a good plan and
getting the knowledge of a hundred worlds made him aware of Darkseids. In fact I think he triggered the call to him. The term "Devils come from the sky" wasn't just in reference to Superman, Zod, or Kryptonians. I liked that. I liked his lil plan as well.

I see what people are saying. The buildup and editing didn't explain things at times but it's hardly noticeable if you can piece shyt together. It's more like, they're not going to tell you what's going on, you figure it out.

Superman definitely had the least motive for going after Batman... At least it wasn't personal (but granted, he wasn't really gonna go after him anyway I think. I think he stopped giving a fukk by the time Batman was looking for him)

i also like Batmans hunting reference. His family being hunters going after animals more power than them. That was dope. But yeah, after Lex blew up the council (which was dope) and they blamed Superman , I think superman bounced and didn't give a fukk about Batman doing anything

Wonder Woman was good. I don't see the complaints. Yeah she had minimum speaking parts but who gives a fukk, she has her own movie coming out. The audience cheered when she came out.

Definitely had its funny moments as well... Just lex wasn't one of them.

I liked it more than I liked the new Star Wars movie, so I give it like a 8/10. It fukked itself up from being a 10 because of Lex and length to get into things.

The very beginning was amazing, middle was a lil slow, ending was pretty cool. Both Batman and Superman are pretty dark so if you don't like that shyt save your money. Batman more so than Superman.

It's not as dark as Flashpoint Paradox but pretty dark. Like Frank Millers Dark knight animated movies.

I can see why they will have issues with the film. I see it having that MOS vibe all over again
Did you like it better than Star Wars primarily because they actually tried to get very different/creative?

After this, I'm fukk the critics, they can kiss my whole a$$hole :scusthov:

shyt is easily a "decent" movie, maybe little lower, maybe little higher.. but the piling on with the 30% RT. Critics damn near retarded.

But it has a decent score from critics though.

5.2/10 overall is considered average/ decent where I come form:yeshrug:

Saw it last night and here are my thoughts:
The Good:
I liked the script; you could see that Terrio was trying to say something about the realities of how the real world would react to having superheroes dropped in the middle of it. Most of the public's reactins rang true to me.

The movie looked amazing and the action was cool. This really did look like a graphic novel come to life in the big action set pieces.

The way Snyder fit in all of the other Justice League members was unobtrusive and had me nerding out. Was also pleasantly surprised that Joe Morton was cast as Cyborg's dad. All the fears about there being too many characters were unfounded.

The casting was a lesson in defying kneejerk low expectations. Gal Gadot was great and shined in all of her scenes which has me excited for her solo movie.
Eisenberg was giving extra "Eisenberginess" and while he wasn't my idea of what the perfect Lex Luthor would be he was good in the role especially as he got more and more deranged.
Ben Affleck was awesome and delivered a perfectly fine Bruce Wayne which I had no doubts about since most of the past actors cast in the role were also able to embody Wayne very well. It was as Batman that I think Affleck really worked for me. Most of the past movie Batmen were not very distinctive once they put on the cape and cowl and always felt like they were Bruce Wayne in disguise. Affleck was Batman first and Wayne was the real secret identity which is always how I prefer my Batman.

And amazingly I actually saw romantic chemistry between Lois and Clark which was not the best crafted relationship in MOS.

And the score was :blessed:...the WW/Doomsday theme especially had me ready to pick a fight in the movie theater it was so hyped.

The Bad:
I am kinda sick of mopey, self-doubting Superman. That character trait should have been left in MOS.

There was an awful lot of dream sequences/visions for one movie.

Wasn't a big fan of Doomsday...not his creation or his insertion into the movie. The Trinity vs Doomsday fight was fun but I am pretty :beli: on Doomsday the character.

As a longtime comic book/super-hero nerd I picked up on all of the stuff that we got in Batman's vision of the totalitarian future and I geeked out at the sight of that giant Omega symbol emblazoned on the ground, parademons flying all over the place and The Flash from the future showing up. But if you aren't a comic head that stuff went right over your head and probably confused the fukk out of you. A little bit more foreshadowing of Darkseid would have helped.
In the same vein, Luthor's ranting from his prison cell would have worked better if we had been shown him finding out about intergalactic threats like Apokolips and Brainiac while he had control of the Kryptonian ship. Because it felt like Lex knew a lot of really important details that weren't shared with the class.

Superman "dying" at the end was a clunky and unnecessary decision. We all know he isn't dead and all it does is create a situation where time will have to be wasted explaining his resurrection. And it effectively kills Clark Kent as a character which is not a smart move either because you can't have him just crawl out of his grave like it nothing after the funeral and open casket.

Final Verdict: an ambitious movie that I credit for its ambition even if it didn't reach its goals 100% of the time because the parts that were good were really, really good and for someone who has imagined seeing these characters on the big screen together for a very long time I found it to be a really enjoyable flick that sets up the next phase (the forming of the Justice League) pretty well.

Grade: B+

I feel like unless you see the underlining foreshadowing the movie will go over your head and seem all over the place :ehh: that is the writers fault too. Unless your a diehard DC fan whose been up on Easter eggs and speculations, you will look at the movie like :dahell:
Nah, bruh. Nothing's going over anyone's head. The movie just sucks.

Someone ban @Kill Dat Noize and @TheGodling from this thread. Do them a favor or they will be in here for the rest of the year at minimum. These nikkas saying the movie is worse than some of the critics said lol and we know damn well both of 'em been hating on this movie and on Man of Steel for three years straight.

Their reviews were prewritten obviously :camby:

I honestly don't care about reviews...stopped caring when the Gawd Ebert went to that aisle seat in the sky.
Besides some of my favorite movies were shyt on by critics when they first came out. Predator was almost universally panned and The Shining was actually nominated for a Razzie for Worst Director for Kubrick...think about that, people actually thought once upon a time that Kubrick shyt the bed in terms of how he directed The Shining.:mindblown:
Night of the Hunter was a critical and box office flop when it first came out. Taste differs and in the case of a polarizing director like Zack Snyder his aesthetic doesn't always line up with the tastes of professional critics.
