I never complained about the destruction. Zod never got a chance to do his thing. All of the "destruction" was basic cgi collateral damage. That don't really count. Zod's killings was accidental. I like my villiain kills to be more intimate

I know . I don't get what's the confusion about this especially since it's addressed in this movie . Superman wasn't superman the whole movie and he learned his lesson after his first real fight . People are acting like that is somthing you automatically can do your first fight when your fighting for your life

Again... that Zod had COMPLETELY different character motivations from the Zod from MoS. Zod in Superman II was after Superman and Superman ALONE..... do of course he's going to follow him wherever he goes. Zod in Man of Steel declared to kill every single human. So Superman flying away is pointless.

You are missing my point. No, he could not realistically save everyone and fight Zod at the same time. But he didn't even bother to try it and that is the big issue. He never tried. I've always maintained that the destruction in their fight couldn't have been (fully) prevented, but at no point does Supes make any effort to try and avoid it either. Let's just say that Supes was completely aware of this and that's why he focused entirely on finishing the fight with Zod as quickly as possible, that reasoning should've been in the movie because that's actually a huge conflict for the character. Instead we get blank slate Supes seemingly just not caring whatsoever. Like I said before, it's such a simple thing to do and they completely missed it.

And again, the fact they're addressing it in BvS after the fact doesn't mean it's all good in hindsight. I applaud them for addressing this, but that doesn't mean they didn't fukk it up originally.

And regarding that Avengers scene, I hate it and I'm actually glad it's not in the worldwide cut of the movie (fun fact: that scene was an addition exclusively to the American theatrical cut filmed long after the movie had been completed). The OG scene where Stark, depleted from battle sorta jokes about getting shoarma later makes sorta sense in the "taking a breather after a big battle", actually showing them eating shoarma just turns it into a painful joke.

Also, during the actual battle Cap is clearly shown being occupied with saving civilians from the Chitauri, clearly showcasing they care about innocent bystanders.

You can tell when nikkas don't know what the fukk they talking bout. a Group of nikkas vs random alien goon number 7 with everyone there trained and season compared to a rookie supeman never so much bust a grape in a food fight fighting for his life vs a anarmy of superman. Yeah he should have stopped and save the cat on the tree

Zod planned on destroying the entire planet... REGARDLESS of Superman was there or not.

If he tried to "Take the fight away" the planet still would've got wrecked.

Superman inMOS wrecked the World Engine and thought Zod was dead. Metropolis was already fukked... Then Zod appeared and they fought. Dude even snapped his neck to prevent Zod from killing a family in the train station.

Like I said before... Y'all must not be up on the DC universe lately. People die. In Flashpoint Paradox, millions of people died. Superman even cut off Aquamans arm to stop him from killing Cyborg.
