You are missing my point. No, he could not realistically save everyone and fight Zod at the same time. But he didn't even bother to try it and that is the big issue. He never tried. I've always maintained that the destruction in their fight couldn't have been (fully) prevented, but at no point does Supes make any effort to try and avoid it either. Let's just say that Supes was completely aware of this and that's why he focused entirely on finishing the fight with Zod as quickly as possible, that reasoning should've been in the movie because that's actually a huge conflict for the character. Instead we get blank slate Supes seemingly just not caring whatsoever. Like I said before, it's such a simple thing to do and they completely missed it.
And again, the fact they're addressing it in BvS after the fact doesn't mean it's all good in hindsight. I applaud them for addressing this, but that doesn't mean they didn't fukk it up originally.
And regarding that Avengers scene, I hate it and I'm actually glad it's not in the worldwide cut of the movie (fun fact: that scene was an addition exclusively to the American theatrical cut filmed long after the movie had been completed). The OG scene where Stark, depleted from battle sorta jokes about getting shoarma later makes sorta sense in the "taking a breather after a big battle", actually showing them eating shoarma just turns it into a painful joke.
Also, during the actual battle Cap is clearly shown being occupied with saving civilians from the Chitauri, clearly showcasing they care about innocent bystanders.
You know I never thought about it like that.
Shut. The.fukk.up.
nikkas really going overboard with this MOS damage shyt.About 85% of the damage to Metropolis is caused by one part of the World Engine.
The other part of the World Engine at the Indian Ocean was what Superman, the same Superman you think didn't try to prevent said damage was dealing with.
nikkas really going overboard with this MOS damage shyt.
Like wtf was he supposed to do when these nikkas was trying to destroy the planet... Save every single man, woman, child, kitten, etc., on the planet??
And isn't that the main focus of this movie? That he couldn't save every fukking one???
Why are you nikkas still arguing about this, when the whole point of bvs is the destruction that was caused? In superman 2, christoper reeve was smart enough to take the fight away from the city. He made Zod come to him.
The equivalent of 10 9/11s just happened and they forced that man to keep his restaurant open and cook them some shawarma. Pieces of shyts
So there is a time and a place .Now it's not the time nor the place to do this Fons.
Hey, he was the one that tagged me in this thread. I'm just playing along even though I know what he's trying to do.
Don't fall for his ducktales.
People also forget that Zod was a military general that's sole purpose was warfare. Clark was basically a Midwestern farm boy that had just started realizing the full potential of his powers. By the time the first Avengers film hit every Avenger was an experienced combatant by that point.I think you missed the ultimate point.... he cannot save EVERYONE and fight Zod at the same time. Unless you suggest how he CAN, please tell me. The problem you seem not understanding is you got two superpowered beings fighting.... it is useless to fight him in some empty construction sight because that said person intend is fight you right at that location OR start killing off people at will. BYSTANDERS just have to take the collateral damage to which Superman tried to limit yet, you are dealing with someone that could care less and doing MOST of the damage...such as the laser rays seen that toppled a skyscraper. Killing Zod is a character development for THIS film, BvS. In fact your entire complaint is being addressed and is the central POINT to the motivations of both Batman and Lex Luthor..... that is THEIR argument. But killing Zod was for a season it was either that or him killing humans and he made that choice and screamed in agony over it immediately... but you feel that he's supposedly apathetic.
You acting as if he had an OPTION to either fight Zod or save lives when he had no option BUT to fight Zod because he was going to SLAUGHTER everyone. If he could of remove Zod outside of the area he most likely would, but HOW.... this isn't Superman II where that version of Zod only wants SUPERMAN and therefore willing to fly wherever he goes. Zod made it clear that because all of his people are gone that he's going to kill every human.... it is a damned be damned situation. And again, mentioning AVENGERS is moot because CIVIL WAR addresses the SAME THING with WORST collateral damage than in MoS. Tens of thousands have been killed in many parts of the WORLD because of the actions of the Avengers, yes they tried to save SOME... but how you going to SIT there and claim that Superman acted like he didn't care of the number of lives lost when you got THIS scene??
Why are you nikkas still arguing about this, when the whole ointment of bvs is the destruction that was caused?
He killed thousandsI'm only bitter because they killed Zod he was one of the best villians in super hero movie history and they killed him before he got a chance to be a true villiain. He didn't even have a chance to get a legit body count.
