look below

ok just went to the scene on the ultimate edition and i see what u sayin but i think its just a dialogue on a flash back not a dream. when he says that we immediately cut to the climax of man of steel from his pov, so I think by dream n taking him to the light he meant hope cuz the film shows that after that he lost faith in men. i cld be wrong tho idk, its an interesting topic to say the least

he literally says 'in the DREAM, that's how it happened', so how is he not talking about a dream? lol....seriously, you dont think bats has had 'dreams' about that shyt?...what's funny is that scene is similar to the scene in batman begins and how he discovered the bat cave.....

but you're right: it is a double meaning and the light does represent 'hope', but at the time he says it, we didnt know lost faith in men....we didnt find out till later, which makes what he said stand out more....and it's little shyt like that why i enjoy the shyt outta this film....

After watching the extended edition a couple more times I'm just curious how does everyone feel about jesse at this time?

I actually really enjoyed him as lex :ehh: I loved the unhinged look he had. I loved the scenes with the senator. I LOVED the rooftop scene with lois then supes.

I completely understand if someone doesn't like him. I know jesse rubs some people the wrong way. And I know it's not the characterization some people wanted.

I'd like to see more of him now that's he's fully unhinged and bald head and isn't putting in that happy fake front.

Side note I really do love this film.

Every time I watch I pick up some small detail that I hadn't on a previous watch.

If this isn't a school example of 'I need to like this so I'm going to sit through this garbage as much as I have to until I become numb to it'.

Be the Film Room equivalent of a Booth poster listening to a new Kanye album, brehs.

I have mixed feelings about Jesse not because of his acting but because of my pre-conceived notions of LEX.

It worked for the story though, a young unhinged kid genius spoiled with money plus a shytty father figure who lashes out at the one person people will look up to.

I wonder if Darkseid was fukking with him the way it was implied that he was fukking with Bruce.

I hated him. Lex is supposed to be a charming and cunning genius. A guy that you could see yourself voting for President.

How was he not cunning in the film? The entire films plot is set in motion by his deceitful actions and plans to frame superman and to push batman over the edge.
