I thought the R rated cut was dope and better edited. WB should've used that for the theatrical release

I love the symmetry of the movie starting and ending with a funeral...
smh dat bat swarm ascending bruce still makes me cringe, like i get the symbolism but it wasnt fukkin needed we know he's batman and will "rise" to become he legend 
oh n snyder cldnt help but make doomsday explode after healing just becuz of explosion and flashiness (dug how when he got hit the damaged area was red)

the part you talking about at the beginning with the bats was apart of a dream...it's not the same dream sequence ole boy was talking about, but it was apart of a dream....he literally says so....he says 'and the bats lifted me up to the light....at least in the dream, that's how it happened'....

at the same damn time. That is like the first line in the entire movie, how people miss that.finally saw the extended cut: already liked the movie, but the extra 30 mins makes the movie even better to me...this really is just like watchmen where the director's cut is the true cut of the movie....anyway, think wb shouldve released that version cause although it's only 30 extra mins, those 30 mins are lil bits of connective tissue that people complained about not understanding/being able to follow in the theater release....things like: seeing luthor's plan from the beginning and flushed out more; clark investigating batman and showing his dislike in the bat's idea of 'justice'; supe saving people after the trial explosion; lois investigating luthor and her discoveries showing how thought out/in depth his plan really was; the ending fight flowing better; etc...also, even though it's R rated, there is nothing over the top, but there are a couple more violent scenes...

ok just went to the scene on the ultimate edition and i see what u sayin but i think its just a dialogue on a flash back not a dream. when he says that we immediately cut to the climax of man of steel from his pov, so I think by dream n taking him to the light he meant hope cuz the film shows that after that he lost faith in men. i cld be wrong tho idk, its an interesting topic to say the least
exactly....it's just another example showing they really didnt watch/pay attention to the film, and are complaining just to complain....
and i'm not just talking about this film, i'm talking about films in general...people will complain about shyt not being explained/stated in a movie, when it is clearly explained/stated in said movie...
