If they would've shot the whole movie in Krypton it probably would've been a decent movie.

The problem with Superman as a character is his stomping ground is regulated to one City (as is Batman). DC tried to basically recalibrate the entire story (which was a great idea), they just did a sloppy job.

I actually could've done without the whole Krypton backstory, especially if they was going to have Jorel give an explanation of things once Clark found the ship, matter of fact I may have preffered not knowing Zods intentions right away when he showed up.

I actually think they have done a good job of having superman act outside of one city, and you cant really make that a complaint can you?Superman gotta have a home base too:mjcry:

I mean if you gonna switch it up and give a krypton back story that long, you might as well go all in.

I really think they should've done a new origins story. I mean the last origins story they did was in the damn 70's. The way they did sups origins in MOS made you feel indifferent once he became superman.

I would've held back Zod until MOS 2. A Wonder Woman Did a solo batman flick (didn't have to be an origins strong). then dropped BvS.

But DC felt they couldn't wait that long and ended up making a movie that was all over the place. A waste of good cgi and action sequences if you ask me.

Finally watched it today...they had to really portray Luthor like a fukking science geek genius? LOL. But the fights with Batman/Superman, Doomsday, and the intro of Wonder Woman was correct. They did two fake outs with Superman in one flick....lol. Thought Flash and Aquaman was gonna pop up for the big fight for a second. Not a bad flick. And it's all leading to bigger things anyway.

Empathy aint something Superman should need to learn from Jor El though,it should be a character trait already ingrained in him,not just because he's Superman, but because he's a damn superhero....This movie I think regressed in showing that from Superman

I remember MOS starting off like it might be the goat origin story:banderas:....The idea of Superman being a nomad, running away from being Superman, but not being able to because he kept feeling the need to rescue people, and he has to just keep moving from place to place after his incredible feats was:wow:....But then you find out he's just looking for this ship, and it all goes down hill soon as he runs into Lois fukking Lane:snoop:

He wasn't "just looking for a ship"
He was wrecked with guilt after watching his dad die when he could have saved him, no matter how many lives he saves he let his dad die.

he was just a lost dude until he overheard those army guys talking about the crash site

I'm starting to like MOS more and more, might be the goat super hero movie rite now, the cinamatography, the fight scenes

Whoever played general zod killed that role :ohlawd:

Yeah you right, thanks for reminding me....But you didn't have remind me about that tornado scene:mjlol:

All the more reason him finding the ship could've been left out of the movie completely,it was pretty unnecessary.

Honestly I hope they just keep giving us more stuff related to batman. Hopefully they do suicide squad sequels, birds of prey with green arrow.

I haven't cared one way or the other about Supes characterization because dude is lame to me anyway.

People talk about dc and marvel, shyt If anything fox is the closest to marvel right now. Think about it. Their universe started with: xmen first class which was a great movie. The wolverine was a good movie. Days of future past was a great movie. Deadpool was a good movie. And apocalypse looks like its going to be a good movie. Yea fantastic four may be bad but they might pop up somewhere down the line . and fox has access to galactys and Dr doom. Now look at that universe. Its been set for years and nobody talks about it. Even fox has they shyt together. If you wanna compare somebody to marvel they'll be the ones i will do. Dc is in third place they not even in 2nd place right now
With the exception of Origins and The Last Stand (which I actually liked a little bit), Fox has done a pretty good job with the X-Men films. They've had their problems but they have definitely captured the spirit and tone of the X-Men comic books.

I think Eisenberg's Luthor is not the Luthor we all know and "love." Either he's a clone like in the Superman comics of the late 80's/early 90's that is being used to act as Luthor's son or he is his legitimate son and we'll get the OG/real Lex down the road.
