You know that's a lie... it 68%. Nothing to brag about but it isn't no damn 81%. Y'all are pathetic in campaigning for failure. SMH.

Variety reports estimates that peg Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice taking in $52.4 million for its second weekend. That’s a 68% drop from its opening $166 million weekend. It’s not an unexpected drop, but the movie may not have long legs at the box office. The 81% drop from Friday-to-Friday still stands, but these are the whole weekend numbers that are now coming in. Our original story from April 2nd, 2016 follows below.

I also am starting to realize that these characters are not fully formed to what we know and love... Unlike the Marvel Movies honestly.

This is still kinda an origin story for all of them. Like the marvel movies quickly made their personalities form.

While Batman is forming to become the JL Batman we recognize, Superman is still becoming the Superman we recognize (which I said in MOS), Lex is developing into the cold calculating Lex we recognize, and Wonder Woman (who doesn't even LIKE mankind in this movie) is forming into the hero we recognize.

Just a different approach. Marvel hits us with that quick fix while DC is trying to give a slow burn. Marvel is your favorite fast food while DC is that steak you just spent hours marinating and cooking just to savor it... And I'm cool with both

But already lost.

1st you lied or got confused about the 81% weekend drop when it was for Friday and even that technically incorrect because it factored in the record breaking THURSDAY NIGHT early release screenings and not Friday alone.

Let's look at the TRUTH in 9 days this film is nearly at 700M. It nowhere near a commercial failure and it hurts your soul that it is not. So much you want to fabricate shyt. Sucks to live your life.

Even the Friday to Friday drop was disingenuous since they were adding the Thursday presales to it. Raw Friday to Friday drop was around 71 to 72%

To be fair, they always include Thursday in first weekend/first Friday numbers. No different than the films they were comparing it to.

700m after Monday
The film will have 5 weeks to make a billion and maybe see some competition from the Jungle Book
If it does see competion it will maybe stall at 866m but if it doesn't it will hit 920-1b

To early to call it either, honestly. How the long-term WB/DCU slate looks in 6 months will say more than any critic, pundit or fanboy. Supposedly it needs to hit $1B to be considered profitable, so......:manny:

I didn't like the movie, but I'm still interested in the DCU. I'd just be more excited if Snyder wasn't at the helm.

The money is moving up towards 1 billion but the audience reviews are going down. RT and imdb scores are steadily declining. The public isn't responding well to this movie.

I guess it was too deep:mjlol:
