Interesting. I figured this one might be closer JH's "infinity" story and "Thanos Quest" than "Infinity Gauntlet", so maybe the interviewer didn't ask the right questions with that. :patrice:

That's my impression as well. The Black Order and the Wakandan set piece is straight out of Hickman's Infinity book... which is only 5 or so years old. But even then, there were so many different things going on in that book, that there'd honestly be no point in the actors reading too deeply into that either.

They're pretty much crafting their own rendition/interpretation of Thanos's arc while adding a lot of memorable/nostalgic concepts from the various books

I still have this gut feeling that this is going to be another low brow slapstick comedy.

They already fooled me once with the marketing of AOU and the movies have only gotten ‘dumber’ since then (GOTG, T:R)

Plus you’re going to have Tony, Pete and the GOTG all in the same movie. I expect lots of “banter” and odd pop culture references.

Of all the movies this needs to be the most intense and the one with the highest stakes. If it’s just another dumbed down Disney movie I think I have to officially tap out

It's the Russos bruh trust there will be light hearted moments to break up the action but this won't be Guardians 2 or even Weekend of Ultron levels:ehh:

Who is “they”?

Whedon or Russo’s?

Cuz Whedon did Avengers 1 and 2

Russo’s did Cap 2, 3, and the next 2 Avengers movies.

So what’s really good?

Martha

Eh as much as I enjoy TWS and CW there were still potentially great moments ruined by needless comedy.

Someone has said it in this thread already, but based on what Mark Ruffalo said, it confirms:
Hulk gets thrashed by Thanos on the Asgardian ship and launched back to Earth. Hulk doesn't recover mentally(literally afraid of how powerful he is) from that thrashing by time they make it to Wakanda so Banner wears the Hulk buster until the final chapter.

Not saying you're wrong because that does seem likely but....

I'm curious how close the Asgardian ship was to Earth for Hulk to land there. Also perfectly at the Sanctum Sanctorum. Seems like lottery odds but I'm sure there's a lot we don't know.

Hmmmm..... I guess since I’m a huge fan of 80s action movies, and Tarantino movies, and typical blockbuster style films from big stars.

It don’t bother me like that as I’ve probably laughed more at other movies that are critically acclaimed and classics.

But to each their own:hubie:

CW is like over 2 hours, and off hand I can only think of like 1 or 2 humorous moments that take up a combined 5 seconds of screen time

The moment that sticks out to me the most is in TWS (which is hands down my favorite superhero movie of the modern era)

It’s the scene where Cap is giving the “price of freedom” speech. A really well done, heartfelt, POWERFUL scene that epitomizes the bravery and the greatness of cap.

But god forbid we have a sincere moment because not even 5 seconds later falcon has to add “derppp did u memorize all that or did u write than down derpppp”....

Like come on what was the fukking point.

Yeah, that's what I figured, they pretty much take pieces of the comics and use them. Seems interesting if they are actually going way left field from the source material if their words are true. :jbhmm:

I just hope they keep the BP/BD interaction/fight from the wakanda battle from "Infinity". :wow:
