When we voted in the board room after enjoying our taco Tuesday lunch (one of my favorites :BlackPantherBanderas: )the decision was unanimous. When I say this legit may win an Oscar for best picture, I mean it :whewbp:

On second viewing, this feels a lot like a guardians movie featuring the avengers, rather than the other way around
Still a great movie though, but we didn't need three different teams featuring Guardians Characters being central to the plot.
Team 1 - Iron Man Starlord, Drax, Nebula and Mantis Spiderman and Dr Strange
Team 2 - Thor, Groot and Rocket
Team 3 - Thanos and Gamorra
Team 4 - Captain Black Panther, Wanda and Vision/everyone else
Guardians - Dominated three of the 4 squads. I'm low key happy they all dissolved into dusk and won't be major players in the next movie.
I still prefer the OG avengers and Spiderman/black panther
they're the "guardians of the galaxy" and it was a galaxy-level threat, with roughly half the movie taking place in outer space (avengers who've been to space before this movie: thor, hulk, iron man annnnnnnnd....?). they also had two members of their crew who were family with the mad titan. were they supposed to sit on the sidelines?
and if we're being real, the only members of the team that played major roles were gamora and quill. gamora's role made perfect sense, and quill did some quill shyt to fukk up the win, which also makes sense.
otherwise? rocket + groot were backup dancers for thor's quest, drax + mantis were there for jokes, and nebula was a plot device.
i wouldn't call this a gotg movie at all. this was a thanos movie, featuring the avengers and the gotg. it's a credit to the two gotg movies that they earned equal footing in this universe with marvel's a-list supergroup.

Dr.strange should have just opened a portal and cut off Thanos gauntlet arm when they had him in the sleep hold. teleport with the arm to an unknown planet and hide. But they couldn't do that cause their would be no need for Infinity War part 2.

Also proof that marvel should never film two movies at the same time ever again. If they made this after Black Panther his screentime would've been increased 10 fold. and because the way it ended it's too late to fix in the next movie either. He won't get his avengers shine until Avengers 5 which probably won't release until 2025.M'Baku going off script
