The scenes that he films may not necessarily be from the present. There have been a lot of images from the set that show the avengers in which it appears to be before the original New York incident. There is definitely a chance pretty much everybody gets murked and Strange starts fukking with the timeline to try and fix it.

The Silver Surfer can create black holes, manipulate time, manipulate matter, destroy planets, attack souls, etc. He would stomp Superman in a fight.

Thanos regularly punks the Silver Surfer.
