from the opening bell you knew broner was in over his head. dude had no idea how to keep maidana off of him. he was falling for all of maidana's feints. he wasn't even attempting to throw or counter. his only answer was to grab maidana's arms before he could throw any punches. it was like wtf. dude's defense was amateurish. and despite not throwin shyt and pretty much just grabbing and running away he still had the nerve to taunt, strut, and keep his "about billions" persona going. shyt was mind boggling. and by the look on his face you could tell he knew he was in some serious shyt. maybe he was just tryin to psych himself into thinking it was all gonna be ok. either way, dude is just a mental midget. even worse than judah. but at least with judah, he actually had elite level talent. something broner doesn't have. and I don't think any amount of adjustments is going to change that. dude is most likely gonna go the same route as andre berto.

I felt the same way:snoop:

They basically called Broner on his game in this. Just trying to walk thru guys with the shoulder roll and throw punches. He didn't box last night and he ran into a guy he could not knock out who was more powerful than himself. Had he boxed last night, he may have made out better.

"I'm OK. I'm still the three-time world champion in three different weight classes," Broner said. "Tonight, Maidana was just the better man, but we fought a hell of a fight. I hope the fans got what they deserved. ... I'm still going to live like we won the fight. I'm still going to party."

"I'll tell you one thing, make a rematch," Broner said. "I don't need a warm-up fight. I want a rematch,"

:snoop: This nikka hasn't learned

This is where an elite level trainer would come in handy.

Nothing would save him, I don't think he respects the sport of boxing enough. At the end of the day it always comes down to the fighter, he has to dig deep after a humbling loss like this.

Same way that Ray Leonard had to do a deep self reflection after the Duran loss. Broner is in denial.

This is so sad. I really hope he doesn't fall to the wayside .

i just shook my head when i read that, but he is young so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

great card overall. thurman looked really good like i expected but i didnt see much improvement from broner, his defense and footwork is still mediocre. he reminds me of JCC...he can bully smaller fighters but a fighter with good footwork or power will give him lots of problems.
