The data that you speak of has been around before Tone and Yvette. They don’t own it. NCobra and other black folks have been talking about the wealth gap for decades. Tone and them are not the only ones who are qualified to speak on reparations.

There’s two arms of this movement as I see it. The legislative ground work to get a reparations bill actually passed in Congress, which has been going on for decades and spearheaded by Conyers, and the recent talk around reparations on social media that has generated a lot of awareness by people who were not aware. NCobra certainly has had a hand in the former, Ren and Stimpy the latter.

If what you said in the last paragraph is true then I’m not sure what you’re so agitated about instead of happy that things have come this far. All this talk of credit and all that is completely tangential and will mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. I am optimistic but realize there are much greater hurdles to address for this to come to fruition than Tone and Yvette’s petty grievances.

Take jabs at Tone and Yvette all you want. Dr. Sandy Darity has been playing fair and he get jabs thrown at him too. Even the Pastor Kevin Cosby. These same people took money from him for appearing at his church then slandered him and his HBCU college after. Still falsely accuse him of being apart of the Southern Baptist Seminary. You and everyone on this site knows I dont even like Tone and Yvette like that - their voices sound like nails on a chalk board to me. Nor do I watch them on YouTube. BUT, I do support ADOS.

Dont worry about who we are carrying water for - cause I know you dont know your roots like that past a few people - but we are carrying water for our ancestors and families first and last.

To be honest, I don’t even watch YouTube podcast like that. I just simply agree with the Ados message. If they both were to fall off the face of the earth, tomorrow, I’d still believe in the message. I am for a specific Ados/AA agenda.

Anyways, I’m not trying to have our thread spin into derailment. I won’t engage anymore.

She has stressed to have “political imagination” and do your own work and research. While I don’t agree with her on many topics, I do agree with her on reparations and I appreciate her, Tone, and Darity for providing the data.

I have also met so many other AA’s on this journey. With Ados chapters forming, I look forward to meeting those in the ATL chapter; as well as the NC and MS chapters. I’ve seen what the NC chapter is doing, and they are really out on the ground.

Much respect to both Yvette and Tone, but again, this thing will move forward with or without them. Black Americans are hurting out here. We just needed a spark to get going, and now that we have it, there won’t be no stopping. These politicians better get on their jobs; that’s all I’ll say

It took 100 more years to earn voting rights

And another 18 years (I said 30 earlier) for NCOBRA to form

This is how I feel too. I was watching Irami, since he does a lot of local politics stuff and you know he is an Halfrican.

He said that we should create some dues paying organizations, so that we can do more things, like go to conferences and etc.

I wanna go to one of these meetings in the South since that's pretty much wwhere all us ADOS folk are at.

That’s why it won’t get passed. N’Cobra is either stupid or they’re controlled opposition. They even linked Farrakhan with this. In this climate? The CBC just announced a Jewish-Black Caucus. They’re all over the place and shooting themselves in the foot.

We will have the last laugh. A lot of people are not pleased with Sheila Jackson Lee and others. Expect them to be run against. 2020 can’t come soon enough. We’re just getting started. I know YC and Tone will be in Alabama on Juneteenth. Sandy Darity sending in a letter to Congress on HR 40.

Darrick Hamilton is a problem. N'cobra will try to use him and he is WILLINGLY going to water down reparations in order to compromise.

The black political and intellectual class are the worst people in our community. They want to be palatable and you can't be in the room speaking about reparations and be palatable.
