I don't understand why Tone must shyt on good policies, like Elizabeth's Warren plan cancel student loan debt, to uplift the plan for reparations. We can talk about reparations and talk about eradicating student debt for thousands of blacks who are saddled with thousands in debt they are struggling to pay for. He also ignores the fact that student debt affects black people negatively in greater proportions than others. This is a good plan. We can support this plan and support reparations at the same time.

He likes to talk about the wealth gap while also ignoring the fact the wealth gap will ALWAYS be apparent due to systematic racism and American's flavor capitalism. Reparations will only temporarily address this.

Slavery reparations are workable and affordable

Could you really rectify centuries of racial injustice this easily?
Sadly, no. Even if the racial gap in median wealth were eliminated, it would still be the case that there's a substantial racial gap in median income. Lurking behind that gap is a gap in educational attainment. Unless those were rectified, the racial wealth gap would reemerge over time.

Beyond that, equalizing financial wealth would hardly level the overall playing field. Formally discriminatory public policies are a thing of the past, and public discourse is increasingly intolerant of blatant displays of racism but many studies show African-Americans are disadvantaged by widespread (and often unconscious) biases in a range of contexts.

NOI all over the place. They’re not even on the same page anymore. Guys dating Rothschilds while claiming FOI. They’re too busy going back and forth with Brother Polight right now.
