They get it, it's not even about the facts at this point, it's about the framing.

They need any and every black movement to be filtered through their complex, global Pan-Africanist lens.

ADOS in part rejects this methodology and tries to get at the heart of the practical realities of Black American life in the present day. Basically, it upends their lives work and puts a crimple in their niche RGB circuit money. :yeshrug:
so blinded by pan africanism
That they fail to realize being pro Ados is also being pro RBG. Same thing for everyone else in the diaspora

which is why Yvette got intel on them before they even make a move. Majority of these groups are filled with black Americans who know in their heart of hearts they ain't going anywhere. We need to learn how to fight in our backyard first.

hr 1242 is all glitter but it aint gold

a pure distraction

a dollar store junk food given to blacks while adult whites sit at the table and eat steak and potatoes

hr 40 is the main bill we should be pushing, its the only bill that will truly change the game

Honestly, the dems will get someone in the general election -- drop the reparations issue --we will be pissed and we will sit out.

We honestly, need to see if we can meet with Trump. fukk it.
Could you imagine the amount of hate we would get from every possible angle if we somehow got trump to start speaking on reparations?
Like if we were given a choice as an ethnic group to side with Trump

And I dont say that out of cowardice but actual curiosity from someone who's been thinking about this alot myself.

Because I heard Bernie say he voted for the crime bill because of the violence against women part and i think...

If Trump offered a reparations plan that was in some way non-beneficial to non ADOS(kinda obvious) and actually detrimental to non-blacks in this country...I know what my choice would be obviously
but i cant speak for other ADOS and even then I know how that would shift the dynamic of the entire globe. Especially when it comes ADOS, who are supposed to be the stepping stone and underclass in the most powerful country on the planet, but everyone can come here to make a choice for their people to live better lives that detriments us.

Just some ironic, kinda philosophical shyt i've been thinking when it comes to us as a people

but yeah fukk it, they're already calling us maga bots anyway, might as well see what he has to say

One has a strict time limit that coincides with the 2020 election, one does not :manny:

It was always going to come down to going to Trump and the Republicans. It is what it is. I knew the majority of “our” elected officials wouldn’t be down anyways. What’s sad is people like Clayborn and Maxine will go on the tv and put on the fake theatrics for immigration, yet when it comes to their own they remain quiet, atleast until one of us is killed by the cops, or it’s time to vote.

Sad thing is, I’d wager that wealth gap is worse in South Carolina. The upper Atlantic and East Coast states more than likely masks or covers up the true numbers.

Just be prepared for backlash and “white daddy” comments lol. Those same ones yelling “well why don’t you go to Turmp” we’re the same ones trying to cancel HBCU leaders who went to him early in the presidency.

Also, the question was asked would you fight and die for this?

I will fight and die for my Christian faith, beliefs, and family; both past, present, and future. My two girls(fiancé and daughter) and bro are taken care of if anything ever happened to me.

This is about my lineage and future. I want my daughter to be able to have the same start as that white man or immigrant. I’m a Jr, and I want my 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, etc to be able pass down wealth to their futures.

2053 is quickly approaching. We’ve got work to do, and if there’s a little backlash we have to endure, then it is what it is. Gotta have thick skin when it comes to defending your beliefs. As a present day Christian, I know. I also won’t be running to Africa. I’ll stay and fight.

It hasn’t passed because it hasn’t been (and not genuinely meant to be)pushed . It’s a chess piece Democrats pull out when someone asks them specifically about reparations.

It passed so easily because it doesn’t mention the word “reparations” but it has the potential to do absolutely the same thing as HR 40

This bill establishes the 400 Years of African-American History Commission to develop and carry out activities throughout the United States to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Africans in the English colonies at Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619.

The commission must:

  • plan programs to acknowledge the impact that slavery and laws that enforced racial discrimination had on the United States;
  • encourage civic, patriotic, historical, educational, artistic, religious, and economic organizations to organize and participate in anniversary activities;
  • assist states, localities, and nonprofit organizations to further the commemoration; and
  • coordinate for the public scholarly research on the arrival of Africans in the United States and their contributions to this country.
(Sec. 5) The commission may provide: (1) grants to communities and nonprofit organizations for the development of programs; (2) grants to research and scholarly organizations to research, publish, or distribute information relating to the arrival of Africans in the United States; and (3) technical assistance to states, localities, and nonprofit organizations to further the commemoration.

lets break this down since you have trouble understanding

acknowledging the impact of slavery is NOT studying slavery
its is not studying the financial impact down to a number how ados were affected

encouraging anniversary activities = fluff

assisting non profits to participate in the anniversary = fluff

research of africans contributions is not a study of slavery and how much we are owed

those little grants are a drop in the ocean compared to what we are owed

fam its riggt there in the text

it has ZERO POTENTIAL to do what hr 40 can do

These type of tweets and thoughts are trick questions to turn us into some type of "Pro-American". As if being an "African" is like a revolutionary position.

Pan-Africanism in the USA, is always framed as American Blacks vs. the American Gov't (White people).

They take like the worst ideas from the 60s, like having a nation within a nation and this narrow Black nationalism and live by that. People don't talk about how the NOI did not allow of NOI members to vote or be a part of the political process at all - yet they'll clique with White nationalists to promote racial segregation and Black people having their own country. Malcolm X would preach but he never spoke voting or anything political until he left.

What is the point of being an adversary to the American gov't but you won't do anything to change. Why would intentionally take yourself out of the American body politic but all the problems you face is because you are out of the body politic?

It is stupid, too many ADOS people wanna put on this front like they are so opposed to the USA government, as if they are going to go somewhere else, as if Africa or whereever the fukk they think they are gonna go wants them. So while they are rejecting their birthright, everyone else is gladly taking every opportunity this country can give them.

Growing bitter and cold towards your nation is an appropriate reaction but becoming blindly cynical at any prospect of Black people having a prosperous life - leads you to doing stupid things. Like the NOI collaborating with Neo-Nazis and the KKK. Like the Liberian project. Like Martin Delany supporting the campaign of a confederate soldier running for office. Like the Atlanta Compromise.

We have historical evidence of the political choices that we make by being blindly cynical.

Which is why I would not wholeheartedly support - the ADOS movement turning to the Trump administration.
