I hope like shyt that directors go on to hire these kids for future roles. They are talented as fukk, same with the kid from
Beasts of No Nation. They just need their shots.
I know Ryan Coogler is slated to do a film with Michael B Jordan about the test cheating scandal in Atlanta pretty soon, so hopefully he gives them a look to portray some of the students. That could be another prestige drama in the future.
But them onus isn't on him alone. Directors should be dying to work with the cast of Moonlight. Say what you want about whether it deserved awards for it's script or subject matter, but it was one of the best ensembles of the year by far. All of the performances, from Naomi, to Janelle, to Trevante, to Andre were so good.
