lagy gaga is transforming into barbara streisand before our eyes.

She has always come off as incredibly OLD...like she's only 28 now...and was like 21 in her "prime"...but she has always managed to age herself so much. I truly think it's one of the things that has hurt her career in recent years.

And now here she is tonight amongst all these elite Hollywood establishment types...she probably thinks the exposure is good but it isn't....it's just coming off as weird.

She's supposed to be a young pop singer making music for young pop fans...fukk is she doing?

first off an "action" song isnt even gonna make it on the oscars for a "action" speech to even get said.

the song is about overcoming and the strength of black people. not some soft passive shyt. i can agree with you if you think common went soft on his speech but john said something that probably only kanye west would have said. any other black musician would not have gone up there talkin bout that. jay z or beyonce or none of them would have said nothing about that.
Exactly my point. As to your second point, the song should have been much more than it was; it was about overcoming struggle like in Selma, but the language it used was very anti-action; the message was direct, but the language was passive. Peaceful, nonviolent, etc. I like it for the movie and the subject they did it for, but for today and struggle in general, it doesn't cut it.
