You completely missed the point. This is the same oscars that gave the "Hard out here for a Pimp" a damn Oscar. Now I love Three 6, but that wasn't the song to honor, no hate, I'm happy they won but I'd take "Glory" over that. The reason it's a token Oscar is cause the Oscars knew a Black Person had to leave tonight with all the "Oscars So White" heat, this is basically a Two Nergo's for one speical they just did. the song is about overcoming and the strength of black people. not some soft passive shyt. i can agree with you if you think common went soft on his speech but john said something that probably only kanye west would have said. any other black musician would not have gone up there talkin bout that. jay z or beyonce or none of them would have said nothing about that.
