the question isn't b hop's defense. it's his offense. is he gonna be able to let off or is he gonna stay in his shell all night like he did vs dawson. at some point he's gonna have to open up and thats when kovalev will make him pay. it all depends on how b hop takes his power. once he feels that first big shot, he's either gonna go for it or go into survival mode.

BHOP has faced so many fighters better than Kovalev. Kovalev is facing super weak opposition. does Caperello have some skills? yes. but a lot of guys do. he is no where near a complete or world class fighter. of course neither is Agnew. these guys equivalent to NBA bench warmers. they can do maybe one or two things good and terrible at everything else. thats enough for them to be club fighters in front of bar room crowds to get them a payday against Kovalev....but they really arent very good at all. in November Kovalev takes a leap of quantum proportions. One he will lose. He still will be a very marketable fighter though.
