Africa as a totality has had a great Olympics in sprinting

Considering that’s not their strong suit…it shows a growing expansion of being serious threats in that part of T&F

With a lot of african players training in europe/america and even playing collegiate there, I’m not really surprised.

Astro got it on the bolded. The reason the US does well in Athletics is because there’s investment in training and development.

If a country like Nigeria had even half the level of government support/sporting infrastructure they’d close the gap in the sprints.

Now you got a number of African nationals running on alethic scholarships for US universities. That’s helping close the gap.

I never ran track but that shyt gotta be harder than it looks

It's not easy at all but it's not THAT fxcking hard. Especially if it's your job, and that's the ONLY event you have to run that day.

Lack of focus. Also it's on the Coaches inability to recreate the scenarios.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

It's not drilled enough. When America use to dominate in the late 80's and 90's. It was the Santa Monica track club team as the relay. Burrell Mitchell Marsh and Lewis.
Man they said they practiced hella also handing off ain’t that damn hard middle schoolers do it for fun

USA would've won gold if they ran the same team from the heats, they ran 37.47. Canada, SA, GBR ran the same teams throughout. Multiple teams switch runners out and have no issue. USA looks like they practice the relay for 10 minutes after their workouts. Team might have some ego issues through the years thats contributing to it, or coaches aint coaching shyt.

here comes the same would have, 6 straight olympics no gold in that event but would have right? :mjlol:

canada had the slowest time in the heats so who cares about "heat times"
