It's been a disaster in terms of the standard for USA swimming, which is winning gold. Even swimmer Bobby Finke said after winning silver in the 800 m that he was the "first loser".

Other countries have caught up (mainly Australia), but this is still very disappointing.

Ik the standard but I guess my main point is that most of this is because of Americas own doing especially on the mens side
