Yeah I don't think he's really that valuable anymore.
Long swing. Too many ground balls. Just doesn't have the power profile you're looking for out of 1B.
Maybe if this was the old days where teams still played on astroturf, you might think "Okay he hits the ball hard and on the ground, but with our turf, he'd still get a lot of base hits" -- not that teams thought in that way....I'm just saying that's a strange way that you could justify acquiring him.
He doesn't even have great platoon stats where you might just use him against Lefties -- similar to how JD Martinez is still valuable.
