This Seattle lineup is as bad as Detroit's. There's no way they hold onto the AL West unless Julio wakes the fukk up and goes on a heater.

Houston will probably pass them by the end of the week and you have to think Texas will get on a roll eventually.

Even if the Astros make the playoffs, they're not a serious contender.

I don't think they have the prospects to trade for the kind of pitching they need to get them on par with Baltimore or New York.

The Texas Rangers are more scary, but their situation is delicate. If (and it's a BIG IF) Max Scherzer holds up and Jacob deGrom has no setbacks, they are the team that can make the deepest run. They just don't have as dangerous a lineup as Houston.

If there was a way for the Rangers to get Luis Robert, they'd get scary very quickly.

The bats are finally batting, AND ALL OF OUR PITCHERS ARE HURT. We get internal top rotation reinforcements in about a month with Garcia & McCullers then Verlander for the playoffs. Brown has been electric lately, Valdez looks fine, and Blanco has no no stuff. We are 1 or 2 middle relief guys away, but we can wait until October to see who wants to puff their chest out :skip:

Nah, no way you can discount Houston with their history with that core. They're making this run without Kyle Tucker too.
