None of boras clients got their ridiculous commands this offseason:wow:

Chapman & snell turned down more guaranteed money
They did everything they could and now they gotta do it again :merchant:

Boras is gonna get major heat, but if they put together another solid season and this STILL happens, Tony Clark might not stick around as leader of MLBPA

Jordan Montgomery did everything he could possibly do as a pitcher with his skillset to get a good long term deal and it still didn't happen. He gotta be extra tight.
What has he done to warrant some massive payday? He's never even received a Cy Young vote.

Solid pitcher and something like 5/$100 million would have been reasonable but they were asking for much more than that.

I don't understand how this is on Tony Clark. Guys have been getting overpaid for years and teams/GMs have finally said "enough."

And if they want teams to spend more, they need to make sure there's a salary floor in the future instead of five teams spending and everybody else sitting out.

He was asking for Glasnow money at one point which honestly, isn't that bad of an ask, and Gumby didn't have draft pick compensation or Int'l pool money attached. That Nancy Mace lookin motherfukker can get 5 years and he's made out of porcelain, but Gumby's outta line for asking for the same even though he was instrumental in winning a world series?

With Snell I kinda get it, but between the tax and teams not spending, of course a market never materializes.

What would a guy like him have to do to secure a multiyear deal? If the answer is he can't because he's a pitcher, then Clark's gonna have to push harder to get guys paid sooner.
