Things not to like:

Boras's asking price.
Hasn't hit 30 HR's since 2019. (I couldn't believe it, with as much as he's talked about)
Only driven in 100+ twice in his career.. lastly did it in 2019.
Doesn't necessarily walk much.


I don't know breh.

It’s crazy that 2019 is 5-6 years ago but what it also signals is that he probably won’t hit 30 again but Boras doesn’t care because he smells (and creates) some of the desperation that serious teams have.

He’s going to end up misreading his market like Bregman did. Is he a game wrecker? Sure, but he isn’t putting up crazy ass number on both sides of the ball to land much north of like say $500mil.

Somebody sell Bregman to me. Because he seems like a good player.. but not a 250+ million dollar guy. What am I not seeing here?

One thing Boras is trying to sell is him being a team guy and heavy into analytics. He helped Yusei when he got here by just telling him to stick to his best pitch and only change his sequencing. He also learned Spanish because Yuli wasn’t confortabke with his English and he was the only Gringo in our infield (and that includes pitcher/catcher). The first 2 years of this 5 or 6 years he gets he will look underpaid. The back half I don’t think will age swell though, he’s clearly declining and also hurts his team by playing injured (that cost us in 18 & 20).

Respectfully: I'm not tryna hear non of that shyt. Nobody is forcing some of these owners to run their teams like a Mom & Pop shop. They're choosing to do that on their own accord.

Exactly, sell the team then.

My two teams are terrible because up cheap ownership. The Benson family combines operations of a NBA and NFL team...like wtf
