Looks like Kyle Teel is a catcher who can hit. Probably projects as a doubles guy. MLB had him ranked 25th overall.
Braden Montgomery ranked 54th. Potentially a high ceiling corner outfielder.

Meidroth and Gonzalez are lower tier players that probably project as utility/bullpen.

Probably a good haul for Chicago.
But the Red Sox did manage to hold onto their Top 3 prospects:

OF Roman Anthony
SS Marcelo Mayer
IF/OF Kristian Campbell

Because Arrieta was a pitcher who had great stuff but gradually declined to the point where he washed out by his mid 30s.

That's gonna be the fate of Corbin Burnes. His K rate/spin rate/velocity have been gradually declining, while his barrel rate % has been increasing. And he's already 30. IMO he's got 3 really good years left in him before he starts getting smacked around. Which is why I wanted the Yankees to stay away from him

Arrietta was dogshyt trash when he first started off in Bal before he was even known for the Cubs run. Burnes stats did dial back a tick but im sure he still has a better first 4 year run then Fried will. Especially Fried having elbow issues

I know Crochet's only done it one season as a starter and surprisingly only has two years left of team control, but someone with his stuff should mandate a top three prospect. MLB trades are so stupid to me.

For more context, the last time Boston traded for an elite pitcher from the White Sox it was Chris Sale. They gave up Yoan Moncada, Michael Kopech, Victor Diaz and Luis Alexander Basabe.

Even when you factor in all of Sale's injuries, he was dominant the first two years for Boston (and they won a World Series), which is more than the four guys traded for him produced combined. Moncada and Kopech were higher rated than anybody Boston gave up in this Crochet deal.

Of course the Marlins haven't spent a penny :mjlol:

Sh*t, they probably looking to dump more salary :mjlol:

The Marlins could have a 21 year old prime Reggie Jackson asking for a 1-year deal for $10M, and they'll be like "nah too much money" and unload him to the yankees for a journeyman 40 year old reliever. :mjlol:

MLB's by far the worst of the four leagues. Every year, there's 10-15 teams doing the bare minimum or less.

I'm always bytching about the Tigers but the Guardians just went to the ALCS, have a top-10ish guy on their team and currently have a lower projected payroll than Detroit. Royals not spending shyt; Twins not spending shyt.

Seattle is one of the wealthiest metros in the country and they aren't spending shyt. Orioles have no real contracts on their books and they won't spend, even with new owners. Brewers always make the playoffs but never make a push to spend for anybody to put them over the top.

Rays, A's, Reds, Marlins and Pirates are guaranteed to never spend.

I have a fear that 2009 will repeat for the Yankees.

I've said this before. In the 2008 offseason, the Yankees signed Mark Teixeira. Because of that, Los Angeles received a compensation pick in the 2009 Draft.
That pick wound up being Mike Trout.

Because the Yankees signed Max Fried, and Fried was given a qualifying offer by the Braves, Atlanta will get a compensation pick in the 2025 Draft. If that player winds up being a superstar, I might lose it.
