Bītch the Mets will not win another chip in any of our lifetimes. So let’s not talk about delusion.
They tried to be the NY Dodgers and that didn’t work out too well :skip:

At the end of the day that team is like the Bengals of the MLB Where they invent new ways of totally shytting the bed. Wasn’t it a season or two they had the whole division in the last week of the season and found a way to completely miss the playoffs? :dead:

Season or two ago? That hasn't happened to the Mets since 2007 :aicmon:

NY Dodgers? Prior to 2024 the Dodgers in the Dave Roberts era was known as chokers who couldn't get it done in October :mjlol: Dodgers fanbase wanting Dave Roberts to be fired was a common theme among that fanbase :usure: Just because the Dodgers are stacked doesn't guarantee they will be dynasty. So many stacked teams in MLB history that didn't win muitple chips... 1990s/early 2000s Braves, 2003-2007 Yankees, etc.

Shyt, even in the NLDS last year the Pardes had the Dodgers on the ropes with a 2-1 game lead but the Padres offense went cold the last two games of the series :snoop:

It was the 2022 season Marte broke his hand first week of September and they couldn’t finish the season out.

They played the Padres in the playoffs in the wildcard round the 2022 season breh. In your OP you said they completely missed the playoffs. 2007 was much, MUCH worse than 2022 because the 07 Marlins who beat the Mets on the last game of the season had a losing record and simply wasn't a good team :snoop: And the Mets completely missed the playoffs in 2007 :damn:

Mets fans had every right to gloat and enjoy it when they signed Juan Soto.

But they're feeling themselves too much right now.
The Phillies, Braves and Dodgers have not gone away.

:coffee:

You're making this up. Every Mets fan in here is talking about the Alonso situation, or discussing the actual/potential moves, when it comes to the team

Of course leave to the dumb ass puppets in here to be like "yeah....thats right! they aint gonna win shyt" :mjlol:

They'll win one before ya'll win another one. :mjtf:

Breh there’s people on here who weren’t even alive when they last won

There’s people on here who died while they’ve been taking their time to win their next.

There’s people on here who were alive when the Yanks won their last one.

And if they fire Cashman and Boone they might just win another.

Signing Verlander and Scherzer then that centerfielder and going after Correa among other moves the year Cohen was trying to virtually buy a ring. I think he spent something like $500mil in new money free agency deals. I’m not mad at it, I wish we had a free spending owner but it seems like the Mets are just a cursed franchise.

Aint none of this wrong.. but you're comparing a Wilpon owned Mets organization with a Cohen owned one. I'm sure you see the difference. This season was supposed to be a rebuild and tinker type of season, and we ended up playing well, taking the Dodgers to 6 in the NLCS. 2025 was supposed to be the year that we 'take off'

Hopefully that happens.

He wanted to make a splash coming in. Father time just had other plans. :yeshrug:
