This is ridiculous.

You’re basically saying Scoot is going to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time

He has potential to be if it wasn’t for Wemby Scoot was the #1 pick. Miller is a big time prospect also I’m just saying Scoot is a bit ahead.

Simply ask yourself this. Of the rumors you heard about teams trying to move up in the draft. Which player is the one they are trying to trade up for Scoot/Miller. Seems like more teams are interested in moving up for Scoot. Miller was the pick for select teams namely Detroit. But they are picking 5th.

You don’t let Lamelo Ball and Terry Rozier influence a top 3 pick. You decide who is the BPA.

What are you basing this on?

He’s 6’2” and he can’t shoot.

He will get picked on while on defense and drop coverage will force him to hit jump shots

I think that gun stuff scared a lot of people off of Brandon Miller. And it didn't help that he struggled in the NCAA tournament this year.

Scoot Henderson has amazing athleticism but how many great athletes have we seen struggle, or become limited threats, or fizzle out at the NBA level because they couldn't shoot?

Scoot Henderson would likely have to be the next Derrick Rose to be worth it at #2. I'm not saying he isn't talented. I just think there are probably more paths to failure for Henderson than there are for Miller.

I'd probably lean Brandon Miller if you weren't going to take one of the Thompson brothers.

He’s 6’2 and he can shoot remember he’s playing against better competition and shooting from the real 3 pt line. And he also is the lead ball handler for his team.

I know you aren’t riding this prospect just because of the school he went to? It comes down to values. Do you value a potential superstar PG or do you want a potential star wing. Either way it goes Lamelo Ball/Terry Rozier or whatever other players are currently on the hornets roster are irrelevant.

You also have to consider some additional aspects when it comes to marketing and I could be tripping but this dude Scoot seems to have “It” not that it matters for on court production. But I were purchasing a team I think scoot may move a bit more merch. If that’s relevant.

He’s a reliable 3pt shot away from being a three level scorer who can get you 7 assist a night. Even if the Hornets don’t want Scoot, trade Scoot down.

They can't trade down as they don't have the leverage to do so as Portland would take Scoot right after if the Hornets did.

Even Boston was only able to trade down because they knew that the Lakers wanted Lonzo and even that Tatum wasn't falling past Phoenix at 4 so they couldn't move down too far.

The Thompson brothers are both much worse than Scoot when it comes to shooting. They just have the advantage of being taller than Scoot.
