Manek slipped like a white woman in a horror movie:francis:

he actually was tripped. Inadvertently...but he stepped on someone's foot going around the screen. Looks like the defender clipped his heel. BUT that pass was never making it to him.

I like Caleb Love but last night exposed his limitations. He needs to get a lot stronger and continue working on finishing at the rim. He killed Duke because their back court isn’t particular big or athletic, and their bigs just swipe at everything or let you score. Kansas bodied him up and stayed on his hip.

His stock is high so it’s time to go but he needs to work on his game to stay in the league.

And yet, it's still significantly higher quality than college basketball in every way.

Nah. March Madness the stakes are higher. The kids are playing their hardest, some try too much, some fold under the pressure and make horrible mistakes or play terrible, but they give it their all. For a lot of them, it is their last basketball game ever. For more of them, their possible last tournament ever. You hardly ever get that in the NBA these days.

Bought two $75 boxes before the start of the tourney...so spent $150.

Won $75 on one game in the early rounds.

Won the $750 for the final score in last night's game.

$825 total minus my $150 = $675 Net.

Just woke up. Ended up hitting up a bar round the corner from my spot. Came home and passed out In my jersey. Hungover and got class in a hour but I'm still letting all the UNC fans in my life know how I feel. Ordered my championship tee. Great day to be a Jayhawk.

Manek had a weird final four. His shot abandoned him except for key moments in games, but he failed to put himself in more situations where his shot woulda helped.

Agbaji locked up a top 20 selection.

We in the lotto my boy.

Call they players mules? Damn
It’s a quote from Coach Self’s dad that passed away a few months ago. “Don’t worry about the mules, just load the wagon.” It became the main quote for the team..

:mjpls: Oh, we’re still using the “college kids play harder” narrative in 2022, huh?

It's a weird feeling; even after we beat dook on Saturday I told my son, "I don't even care about Monday night", that's how big that was. I think being the 8 seed and an underdog helped with that; we basically been playing with house money ever since the Baylor game. But when we jumped out to that big lead, one dared to dream. But as the wheels came off early in the second half and Kansas started asserting itself, it felt inevitable. Even at the end, I was just kinda like "oh well, it was still a good run"; much unlike that loss to Villanova that had me in a funk for like two weeks lol
