Using timeouts to cool the momentum and adjust rotations would have helped big time. It was 8 on 5, but he didn't help.

Waited til his team got down multiple possessions and still wouldn't use them until the final minute.

He will be in highlights getting dunked on every week
He will put in weight and get stronger.
Folks worried too much about his frame when his skill level for a 7-footer is insane.

Penny should’ve went offense-defense with Harris and Nolley especially late. I also would’ve went zone a few possessions in a row to mix up looks and get guys legs back.
At the end of the day it was a 9 seed hampered by all three big men having 4 fouls for most of the second half against the first overall seed in the tournament. Penny deserves a lot of credit.

memphis hasn't been in the tourney in 8 damn years
memphis was supposed to be a good team this year. they have a bunch of experienced guards and added Duren (and Bates but we know how that turned out)
penny wont ever do shyt at memphis
His frame doesn’t look like it’ll handle weight well.
Who will he guard? Too slow for the wing, too skinny for the paint. Might end up being an empty calories player.

I think people just really wanted Penny to win this one. He had the team to do it. Might have the most natural talent than any team in the country.
