My first 6 picks feel rock solid just based off what makes sense for these teams. Portland to me is the "I have no idea what they're doing" team because outside of a pure PG they can address anything at pick 7. I know they worked out Duren a week ago and I think they should at least have some size because they lack so much of it.

They've had Daniels, Mathurin, Duren, Griffin and Eason in for workouts. I really think it's just gonna come down to those guys with Eason if they move down.

Charlotte is shopping the 15th pick supposedly for a big.

What does that mean? Mark Williams probably ain't making it to 13.

If I were them, I'd move up, but unless Portland has a convoluted trade poppin, 13+15 is overkill for anything below 8.

At best,

9+25 for 13+15+2 future 2's for San Antonio might make some sense but San Antonio needs a big as much as Charlotte does. After Eason's off the board, it's a straight up guard run.

It’s kinda strange how Dyson went mid 20s pick to potential top 5 pick right after the combine. Do jumps like that ever work out? I don’t really trust a guard who struggles with ball pressure. I also don’t trust someone who’s main asset is defense as a guard.
Sounds like Frank Nkitina all over again

It was a few seasons ago but I recall someone tied the value of draft picks during trades. They had it something like picks 10/15 could at most get you valued to like the #6 pick (just an example).

That #7 pick in curious to know what the league wide value is.

Fuuck I saw someone try to create a draft value chart for the NBA the way they do it in the NFL.

You'd almost have to look at past history to get a good guesstimation of what picks are worth (and it varies this year in that the draft from 15-40 seems very bunched up, teams with 3+ picks combined with rd 2 and two LESS picks because Milwaukee and Miami got stripped of their picks.)

The fact that there's 2 less picks combined with teams who don't need 3-4 rookies is kicking my ass in round 2. Got guys slipping to the 50s who I otherwise would totally see going 25-30.

the Bulls traded 16 & 19 for 11 in the 2014 draft for a reference

So many teams trying to trade out this draft and teams in the lottery working out guys who were mocked in the second round a week ago should tell ya'll what these teams think of this draft..... which is fair. The league just saw a large influx of draft talent these last two years. Partly through talented guys manipulating the rules to go earlier. Eventually shyt like that had to catch up. Next year is supposed to be pretty good again so a "Gap Draft" makes sense.
