Why is Brian Wright so infatuated with drafting the same type of playerDrafting a 6'4 shooting guard that can't defend or shoot 3s consistently while asking him to guard the other teams best players
No way to call it. If they move back he would have insider knowledge on who would be the best pick there. Flipside he should have a good idea who is best at #7 tooHe’s a good talent evaluation guy. Idk what this means for their pick now. Do they keep it?
I actually think they draft Duren or a big wing like Sochan to play PF. Duren should be in the conversation to go higher but Centers have been devalued2015: Nikola Milutinov, Cady Lalanne (neither played in the NBA)
2016: Dejounte Murray
2017: Derrick White, Jaron Blossomgame
2018: Lonnie Walker, Chimezie Metu
2019: Luka Samanic, Keldon Johnson, Quindarry Weatherspoon
2020: Devin Vassell, Tre Jones
2021: Joshua Primo, Joe Wiescamp

We need size. Anybody over 6'9 tbh. I want Sochan at 9 but if Murray drops to us at 9 you cannot pass him up.
If last years draft is any indication with how Brian Wright and his FO are drafting then I can see them picking Jalen Williams since he balled out at the combine and our Assistant Coach was his coach there.
At 9?
You don't think he'll be there at 20?
Yeah, I've been seeing that. I mean, his measurables and production aren't unlike guys who will be the lotto picks.ESPN and the Athletic hyping the hell out of him right now, saying he might go in the lotto

I guess we'll see... Spurs did take Primo when he was mocked in the early 2nd or late 1st last year..
I think Primo might've been in the 40s on draft day, which is crazy. There's plenty of front offices that aren't afraid to stray from popular opinion these days and this draft is so unpredictable outside of the top 4 or 5. We will probably see a ton of guys who we don't expect to go in the 1st, starting from #10 onwards
