Only thing I don’t like is that shooting form it reminds me of Halliburtons …kind of a push shot …may potentially run into problems getting it fr in NBA traffic comfortably…but everything else I love

I hope whoever drafts him plays him as secondary handler and doesn’t try to make him something he’s not. He’s not Ja or Westbrook and that’s fine.

He can def be a #3 on a championship team a la Jrue Holiday offensively

There's a rumor out there that the Thunder are trading 2 to the Kings for 4 & whatever & that Presti likes Ivey.

Don't think it's anything but smoke though because the Kings are also rumored to be looking for a vet for 4 to try & make the playoffs.

Thunder also have about 9 guards already & have to move some of them out realistically so another guard doesn't make much sense when SGA, Dort, Giddey, & Mann are already going to be getting all those minutes. Plus it's way too early for the rumor for me to buy it since you don't usually hear about Presti moves until right before so a month out seems crazy.

The real question is does Presti love Ivey enough to go into next season with his collection of bigs again?

He has his choice of 2 of Smith/Holmgren/Banchero yet he loves Ivey enough to create a big overlap at guard with SGA/Mann /Giddey and STILL try to sell anyone on Poku being a somebody? Even if Micic shows up, drafting any guard when you had the opportunity to address your big man positions means he better be ready to deploy a bunch of picks in a deal for a star big man. Otherwise he's gonna run out of targets for his assets (and if he's trying to avoid a big in order to zero in on Wembanyama next year it's not a good enough excuse.

Dort IMO is getting dealt because he only has one more year at this cheap salary and he's not gonna wanna pay him.

James Ham who covers the Kings seemed to back it too. The idea he floated was 2 for 4 & the Kings protected pick next year, although he was talking about lottery or top 8 protected which is terrible. Top 3 would probably be the best they could do on that with Presti.

I just don't think he'll pass up the chance to take Chet if he's there at 2. None of the bigs on the roster are really anything but solid backups & Chet at least has a chance to be a guy.

Dort gets traded after signing a new deal is the more likely play to me. Can't get much back for him only making under $2m & after this year the books are clean of the Kemba money & Favors so it'll only be SGA & rookie deals pretty much.

Presti is also making a big deal out of waiting to see what a new CBA looks like though :yeshrug:
