:mjlol: Counting your W’s in the dog days of the summer, you better than that
Nah times are different now. In the summer you gotta get majority of your recruiting done before the season starts. When the season start that’s they main focus. And then during the season you putting your final touches on your recruiting class

Many more W's coming in the fall too.

Tbd :francis:
SEC already came sniffing around and MSU showed they can meet and exceed and offer. It’s also been shown that MSU as a program can make the playoffs, and did so with a roster that had only 1 5*, and only a handful 4* players, so if Tucker can have a few cycles at this rate or similar, he can at least compete for a title, playoff birth.

Now, if Bama job opens, that’s something I’d be concerned about…but we already curved LSU and they’re arguably the 2nd best program…UGA’s coach ain’t going anywhere….if he turned down LSU, why would he accept an offer at UF or UTenn

Lsu was never some where i honestly believed he wanted to be, all the shyt going on with title 9 and recruiting issues with the ncaa, plus i think lsu ain’t ready for a black coach, he used them to get a bigger check, so curved ain’t really a term I’d use, the ultimate answer is we don’t know, he may do a ten year bid, he may say nah in the next 3 years, and the playoff birth was more things coming together, how often you think y’all pulling that off ??

So far it seems to be about as often as y’all…we’ve been in 3 big ten title games. As you know, things always just need to “come together” for a conference title/playoff birth…sometimes it’s pulling out close wins, sometimes it’s a call that goes your way, etc.

Even OSU isn’t making the playoffs every year…

I’m going to be optimistic regarding Tucker, especially since MSU football hasn’t ever really had recruiting momentum, even under Dantonio. I’ll be the first to eat my words if shyt doesn’t pan out. I’ll be the first to point out that the D coordinator should be canned if our secondary isn’t at least serviceable this year.

Mullen had to go, he checked out after he didn't get an NFL gig. He did not leave the cupboard bare so Billy is walking into a solid situation with a talented QB, veteran OL, and multiple possible difference makers on the D.

I wouldn’t say he “checked out”. Coach O definitely checked out and had to go. Mullen just let the season go off the rails and was too loyal to Emory & his DC. I think they would’ve bounced back strong this year with AR15 leading the show.

Also, he’d probably leave for the nfl. BUT, before we worry about him leaving for the SEC or nfl, Tucker still has to prove he can have sustained success.

Alabama...a black HC? :heh:

Caught them slipping? Breh we beat their team that was 24-0, and their team that was #2 (or 3) in Columbus coming off a national title. OSU fans still say their 2015 team was one of their best ever. It’s not like we caught them in an off week, the one win was in the big ten title game, I’d hope they’d be prepared and not slipping playing for a conference title and a national championship appearance…winner of 2015 game was going to the B1G title game too, that game was in November, not some random early in the season game.

They were a Death Star program since the end of the tressel days when they started pulling 5*s from around the country and playing in title games almost every year.

2011 win in Columbus I don’t even Count bc they didn’t have a head coach…coincidentally y’all beat them that year too.

I’ve haven’t discredited y’all win again at OSU this year with all the “OSU had the flu” or “well it was in the snow in AA” or any of that. A win is a win. We beat them in Columbus and at a neutral site. Both of those teams had yet to lose that year too.

It’s been a long time since y’all have beat an undefeated OSU, especially in Columbus…

With that said…I don’t expect MSU to regularly beat OSU…but I’d certainly expect it to be more competitive than 56-3 or whatever the score was this year. And tbh I’d definitely hope to more competitive than y’all or PSU has been to OSU too.
