Some people need to get outside and touch some grass, is the empire dead, probably not, but if dabo isn’t willing to adapt he can go head and cancel Christmas, they have hit a rut, and if Miami and fsu can get it going Clemson may be in trouble, and can expect 8-10 win seasons and no playoff contention

It randomly hit me today.... UGA really won the natty...that's crazy. :pachaha:
Didn't really hit me til I watched it again a few months back. Did it with Stinky Bennett at QB too

And nikkas in here really tried to argue that Kirby was the same as Mark Richt :smh:

Take away the GOAT CFB team in 2019 LSU and a DB getting burned in OT and Kirby & UGA might have 3 rings rn :wow:

Mark raised the floor of uga, brought in talent, upgraded facilities, he also had unfortunate luck, plus, Florida getting it back poppin and the rise of Alabama and Lsu.

Kirby came close but it literally took a world class Defense and multiple good wrs hurt, I’m not knocking Kirby but flip the coin the other way a couple times mark probably has one

I mean shyt he lost to auburn that one year when a miracle happened

nikka Mark Richt is a bum compared to Kirby Smart. Stop It :comeon:

And I'll prove it by asking this one question. Who would you rather have coaching Michigan/Oregon, Kirby Smart or Mark Richt?

Dude won 2 sec chips
In his 15 years at uga he had 5, seasons where he didn’t get double digit wins, and sent countless dudes to the league

He’s far from a bum, the only reason I’d pick Kirby is only because he’s been groomed under saban, but again you watch a coach that doesn’t want to open his offense up, has made some bad decisions, and again went into a season with a defense that will go down in history and still had them wrs not been hurt we are looking at a different game, Kirby is good no doubt but he’s also fortunate to have the ball finally bounce his way

What I want to see with NIL (and hope happens) is if players will be willing to stay in college and play longer vs leaving early for the NFL. The only reason to leave before was the money but as a big time CFB player you only get to do it 3-4 years max and it's why certain guys with a little money like Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, Tebow, etc. passed up top 5 - first round money to come back to college.

I know for a FACT that Manziel would've been at A&M until his eligibility was gone :pachaha: Gotta believe that Trevor Lawrence would've stayed at Clemson at least another year or so. Interesting to see what RBs and WRs and even other position players will do going forward, But clearly its the QBs that will have the most incentive to stay.

I agree with most of this. But it’s these kids dream to reach the nfl not just for the payday either…and I bet 80% of P5 players think they have what it takes which is why some bounce early.

It’s not apples to apples but look at the nba, you have players entering the draft after 1 year that really didn’t do anything note worthy in their freshman season and could easily come back and develop into a higher draft position.

Clemson has the fortune position of playing in the trash ass ACC. Miami just can’t get right and FSU can’t seem to either.

Clemson can easily turn into VA Tech status with coaching changes or a string of bad years.

I think also losing their AD to Miami did not help

But them being in the acc will keep them from sliding to the middle of the pack, the machine is still in place, but they are literally at a junction that can decide their next ten years
