Suggs is straight buns people on Twitter been pointing out his lack of skill. He played in a up tempo offense and Gonzaga roster was tailor made to score quickly.
:mjgrin: can't wait until a full seasons if this nikka looks like a bum magic panic and drafted him because of how the media said he as a top 4 talent meaning the scouts for the magic are dog shyt:mjlol:

@tremonthustler1 or anybody that can answer.

Does Sengun and Garuba need to be bought out from their Euro clubs to come over Houston? I’m hearing conflicting information. Heard Garuba has a 5 million dollar buyout clause from his clause.

I could see Tilman cheap ass trying to wait it out…:francis:

He woulda needed to go top 15 to able to cover the buyout.

he’s staying at least a year. The buyout cost drops each year

My thing about Suggs is that the optimal upside version of him doesn't even seem like it should be a top 4 guy in a draft that was this good. He was a streaky shooter (and there were questions about the shot before college, as I understand), he didn't display a very tight handle in the strenuous tourney games. I don't think he's a particularly good iso scorer, even though he has a good arsenal

To me, he seems like someone who should be a fantastic system player, but he's not at a franchise that has been even close to producing a high end offense. A freelance cat would've made more sense to me, but it's not like he can't improve at the things he isn't stellar at. He doesn't have a non-functioning jumpshot and maybe NBA dribbling coaches can get him right. With the 2 way talent they have, plus Fultz, RJ and Cole, he can balance out that stable's scoring skillset

Yeah this is an expert version of what I was tryna say. Dude was complementary to a fault, and that's how everyone on their team felt during that game. I would say his "weaknesses" extended past just the Baylor game. Ironically, I felt like the Raptors would've been the best case scenario for HIM, although they obv didn't feel like that was reciprocated

@TradePascalSiakam Jalen can't shoot worth a damn.

Bouknight and Barnes were the best behind the scenes of all the lottery bound folks, from what little personalites I followed, so I don't even wanna compare him to them. Someone gotta be the winner and someone gotta be the loser during those moments, and it probably hurt that those two would play the same position as you for most of the teams drafting you.

I will say, it feels like Scottie is supposed to be the steal of the draft to such an extent, that you almost worry if the pendulum has shifted too much. I know tremon isn't too too much of a fan of him compared to his contemporaries, but he's the most interesting watch out of the first 5 picks to me

I think Suggs will eventually be an high level glue guy but he was getting extremely overrated by draftniks. A combo guard who cant shoot well, doesnt have elite handles and is just a good passer

Intangibles are important but high level skills still rule. Look at how Jarrett Culver can barely see the floor....Suggs is better but they are both Jack of all trade glue guy combo guards

I think Toronto made the right choice, Barnes can replace Siakam once he is traded

He always reminded me of George Hill...perhaps he becomes a 16-6-4 player but I think Toronto passed on him bc he doesn't have a superstar ceiling.
