Borderline, Hughes turns his back as Reaves goes for the hit. Hughes probably should’ve protected himself better but Reaves was smart not to really lay that hit on.
Islanders are very opportunistic with how they score goals, smart team that makes very few mistakes. Can’t be too aggressive in the offensive zone for they will kill out with odd man rushes with Barzal, Pageau, and Beauvillier
Tough to tell from just that gif and view. I don't think it was THAT bad, and it looked like Hughes turned at the end. Maybe two minutes for boarding.

That was the turning point in the game. He nets that, it's a 4-3 Canucks lead. Instead, Vegas goes down the other way and scores to go up 4-3.
