Wonder if Quickley will be drafted much higher than expected.

after this I could see him going from 20 - 30. Emphasis on the Jazz, Knicks, Lakers, Heat, and Philly.

He’s not a PG but if you can get him to be even a decent passer he could help those squads. I think he is a late first round pick.

Might be the biggest bs rumor out there. I can see a promise if they get an extra pick in the 10-15 range but not at 7. Weaver seems to value guard play too much.

but since theres many guards in the 10-23 range he might just bet on getting one of the hampton, cole, terry, kiras out there. Hope they can get luke out of here for one of those picks.

You can get get a PG anywhere .
You win on the wing .

In OKC they feasted on drafting athletes and developing them . Drafting Williams fits along with that.

I’d love ball and i’d be cool w/Hayes but if they took an athletic wing like Williams over him I’d have no smoke for them .

I don’t want any of those other little guards in the lottery.

Pistons best guard with upside since 2009 was brandon jennings for 2 months so i wont say you cant get a pg anywhere. Im cool with starting the rebuild with a lead guard.

RJ is 6'6 and up to 190/192 right now. I like Melo and Hayes is cool, but I also would not be upset with RJ if theyre gone. Detroit needs a guy who wants to be great and has the heart to lead a team or shift the culture in general. Type of player Detroit has ignored completely when it was there to pick.

I am really curious to see how the Twolves look with a Ball Russell Beasly/Okojie perimeter.

I remember u saying lamelo’s success was dependant on where he lands. As a wolves fan, is it a good fit for him?

I can’t answer that question because if he’s picked first, it’s pretty clear that there’s no commitment to keeping him long term. There’s no real interest in selecting a player in the hopes that he becomes a star. The hope is that if and when some star gets pissed and wants out that there’s value in Ball to move him for whoever that star is.

It’s a super risky strategy that will most likely fail because of Ball, but they probably assume (rightfully) that Wiseman or whoever won’t be of value to a team looking to trade a star (for example, Philly won’t want Wiseman in a deal for Simmons: they have Embiid. Phoenix won’t want him for Booker; they have Ayton. They MIGHT be interested in Ball). Drafting Ball is gonna be treated like stashing a Euro.

obviously like plenty of lotto teams, trading down should be plan A. IMO plan B should be between Wiseman and Hayes with nobody’s feelings on that roster mattering anymore.

im assuming you are thinking like me big weakness on defense but what if they bought in some interior defense and okojie/culver improved on perimeter defense

Unless they’re bringing in Marcus Smart and Gobert I don’t see a path where that hypothetical squad is not getting lit up with three horrible defenders in Russell, LaMelo & Towns
