He looks nothing like him.

Why Obi if you have John Collins though?
We garbage at every backup position but guard and center. Why draft a wing when we got Cam/Hunter? Why draft a PG when we got Trae? We can ask that question for everyone, to be honest, no one we draft is going to start.

Mitchell was in the convo. I remember.

I won’t lie and act like he was the guy I wanted (I really wanted Jonathan Isaac who got picked just before).

But Mitchell was in the convo and the Knicks blog and Twitter guys liked him, the scouts liked him, the press liked him and the hometown angle. I remember.
I felt he wasn't the guy but he was the guy a lot liked.

I think you will be hard pressed to find ANY TEAM willing to give a 2021 1st. Next year's draft is crazy talented.

Yeah I wouldn't. Apparently Emoni Bates won't be eligible for the 2022 draft, so if that's true I'd be willing to give up that pick, however.

Backup PG is our greatest weakness given the catastrophic falloff the offense took whenever Trae left the court. Haliburton as an upgrade to Teague/Goodwin could solidify those minutes and also play off Trae in smaller lineups. That would be the most impactful pick we could make for this upcoming season.

so college basketball will be up and running while the draft is happening? 2020

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are pushing back because they want to conduct some sort of combine and need to create a whole new bubble for it.

I always found the idea of teams drafting without at least 1 combine and maybe personal workouts unlikely

Y'all need another really good scoring guard IMO. Either a combo guard that can play the 2 with Trae that can shoot and run point when he's sitting, or a two way 2/3 man that can hit the 3

That’s what I thought they’d try to do alongside that second bubble they wanted to try.

true, but that fell apart and it makes sense to just let those teams build mini bubbles to train in. Nothing is gained from having the second tier teams play each other.

The league could create a 2 week long bubble for a draft combine and allow teams to schedule some workouts in October. Then turn around and do the draft on November.

I watch every fukking game and many multiple times. What we need quality players who can come off the bench and produce within our system. We don't have this exact need for this or that. All of these likes will all come with issues and blemishes as well which is okay, they are rotation players but we need someone sound who can hoop. If there is a need for anything, it's a vet shooter who can score in multiple ways but spot-ups but everyone damn near needs that in the NBA outside of Miami.

Since the Teague trade, our offense was much better without Trae but sadly our backups defense instantly went to shyt which is what bench guys do. They give you something but you lose something with them as well. Jeff was good for offense and he can actually run a system but he's washed defensively in this league. It's not easy to build a team, we just need to continue adding players to Kevin and Dedmon off the pine.
