Not that there's much to talk about since we have no clue when this draft (thus, why I haven't started the coli mock draft), but the word is that the team picking first is only really looking at LaMelo Ball or Anthony Edwards. Now, the idea is that they'll take Edwards because most people think that's conventional wisdom, but if they don't trade the pick before the draft, they may just draft Ball and keep him on the trade block. Further complicating things is that they'd like to bring back their RFA guard and at 17 and 33, they may prefer a guard there. The Desmond Bane's, Grant Riller's, the Tyrell Terry's, even someone like R.J. Hampton or Tyrese Maxey will be available.
The idea of keeping Ball available on the trade block is just lower whatever trade value Golden State has at #2.
