How would the playoffs even look with only a month of baseball played? Playing games 7 days a week straight? Maybe do it nfl style and only play games within the division and best record sees a 4 team playoff field no wildcards?

idk. baseball is a streaky game as it is. Usually you see a lot of players start off slow and pick it up as the season progress.

Yeah that’s what worries me about the quality of a playoff run. Nobody saw the Rays getting hot and giving us a run, or the Cards/Braves/Nats

Ive heard discussions/ideas being thrown around such as in division real dbl headers with 7 innings per game. It really depends on when they come back. I say fukk it and just play from the schedule on the day the season starts,

I love baseball as it is and agree with you, but I would like to see what the game looks like with some of these quirks, especially if we only have time for a 50-60 game season. Larger rosters, managers working their pitching like it's October all season, multiple double-headers a week so bench guys have to start regularly, etc. As a fan I'm hoping they take advantage of a bad situation to up the intensity/strategy for the whole season.

This is baseball. It's all about the stats. How the fukk did he get there? What goes in the box score?

I would be down for anything over 12 innings be moved to a doubleheader the next day provided it's not the last game of the series

Yea the more i think about it, doesnt make too much sense. Do you need to put a bench guy on or someone from the lineup? Yea, i take back my love it statement lol
