Nah, that ain't true. I live in the area, and was listening to the beat writers here locally the last few days. There were some scouts who were divided as to what to pick in he 1st round. Snyder and the FO wanted Haskins 100%. Haskins is from the area, and Snyder knows Haskins' family. It was like 70-30 as to whether or not they were going to pick Haskins, but best believe Dan Snyder lobbied HARD to get him. He sees the potential in Haskins the same way he saw the potential in RG3.

Dwayne Haskins almost threw more TD passes in 1 season as a starter (50) than Daniel Jones threw in 3 seasons as a starter (53). Yet Jones gets drafted 6th and Haskins gets drafted 15th. NFL GMs and scouts are fukking stupid.

Still not a good look if your owner was the one who decided to draft Haskins. It wasn't a unanimous choice.
