As much as we need help up front we also need it on the back end. Wouldn't be mad at him at 30 if he makes it that far

Expecting DL or DB at 30 but I could see us taking Golden there too if he hasn't put himself out of our reach. Allen has never really had any real long speed to throw to

Why is it impressive that a safety has a high standing vertical jump ?

When was the last time you saw a safety needing to stand completely still and just jump straight up to do anything other than knock a ball down during a hail mary ?

he is kinda stiff :dame: in coverage and hip fluidity. Id be careful with a safety prospect like this in the first round
True but my vision of him is essentially as a third safety/LB hybrid. We (Lions) already have two top 5 safeties in the league. Putting him in the box/slot and having him just wreck havoc at the line of scrimmage would be very enticing - cover mobile QBs, eliminate TEs and the middle of the field etc. It would allow us to run more two LB sets. And then if we upgrade the d-line and get more pressure without blitzing it'll be very wild with him on the field.
