There was literally no reason to send him back out. His fastball wasn't moving at all. He was clearly spent.

2015 the Mets rotation was the envy of the league, now besides DeGrom they are just avg. major leaguers at best. I'm sick of fukkin' Matz, Wheeler and Syndagaard. Trade there asses and the entire bullpen for younger pitchers. Seth Lugo and Diaz can stay but F the rest.
On the bright side we got a nice good core of young position players we need to let play the rest of the season to see who is definitely a keeper among them. Alonso, McNeil, Conforto, Rosario, Davis and Smith need to get most of the playing time. Too bad we are stuck with fukkin' Cano, he is making it hard for my last suggestion to be a reality.
