This was a winnable game.

They should have won. Gary Cohen is rightfully calling out Mickey. Everyone watching knew that he shouldn't have gone back out there. This was a big game to win because of their road struggles. There's a lot you can't put on him, but as a tactician, you draw the line there. He lost another game for this team. Enough is enough.

Mickey Calloway couldn't wait to give this game away. He's just not the right manager, he's just not it man.

He needs to be fired. Preferably before All Star. If he was decent at his job, this team is over 500 and no one is talking about selling at the deadline. This is a team that can compete, but Callaway holds them back from taking the next step. He has to go.

His post game presser is maddening. Diaz had thrown 12 pitches over the last week. If there were a time to pitch him for a five out save, today was it. The B lineup was in this afternoon and they had the chance to go into Philly 1.5 GB of second place against a team that has lost 9 of their last 10. They would have gone into Citizens Bank with some momentum and Callaway gave it away.

The beat reporters are leaving a lot out. No one flips out like that unless the tone was snarky/sarcastic. The reporters look out for one another so we're not going to get what really happened. For Callaway and Vargas to flip out like that tells me we haven't heard everything. Callaway had already told him to stop being a smart ass before the events unfolded.
