It's funny that the remaining players on that Astros team (Springer, Altuve, Verlander, Fiers, Correra, McCann) won't get punished and neither will the owner of the team.

Only acceptable punishment in my eyes was vacating the title. Suspending someone for a year does nothing. That team will always have an asterisk for their title. It's not legit. Verlander ways running his mouth but has nothing to say about this. Coward.

By that logic the rings the Yankees and Red Sox won with Clemens, Pettite, A-Rod, Ortiz aren't legit bc they were juicing

Your logic is terrible. You can juice and still be a non factor as many in the 90s were. The Astros had a system in place to determine what was coming. That's as big of an unfair advantage as you can have. Average hitters benefited because they can prepare for off speed and high heat pitches.

I wish they stuck it out but whatever this is the path of least resistance. Who knows what kind of manager dude would have been so it's losing an unknown. I think he snitched and they told him that would make it better and in the end it didn't. lol Let that be a lesson I guess.
So now what they got to do is promote the bench coach to manager. OR are they cleaning house and hiring a new coaching team? That would be fukkery on a huge fukkin' scale.

I'm disappointed the Mets didn't stand by Beltran but not really surprised. It's a shame because they royally fukked up their management situation and this team has a great chance to take the division.

If they weren't going to stand by Beltran they should have hired girardi or Madden. Now we have a giant hole going into spring training and all the good management options have jobs.

Now we'll probably have to deal with Terry Collins return as a lame duck this season

Don’t even joke about Terry coming back. fukk THAT.

But yeah once I saw the local press going apeshyt and calling for Beltran’s head I knew the organization would give in. fukkin pussies.

Feel bad for Beltrán too, has to be embarrassing.

fukk even considering standing behind Beltran.

Don’t feel one ounce of sorrow for him. Dude wanted to be a scientist in Houston and make up ways to cheat then he’s gotta be a big boy and deal with the blowback. No one is going to protect him.

This thing is turning into even more of a shytshow and make no mistake; throwing Beltran to the wolves is a way to punish a player since dudes like Altuve are safe for now.

but it not working because social media is roasting these Astros players and they are face hell this season on the road.

as for Beltran, this wasn’t a good hire when you had dudes like Girardi out there. Do your due diligence even tho the Mets gig is beneath a dude on Girardi’s level.

The Yankees fired Girardi for a guy with 0 managing experience just like Beltran.

And we see how that worked out.

somehow I don’t think Beltran was winning 200 games in 2 seasons.

dude was delusional to think he could cooperate with MLB and go back to his new job like the slate was clean. The public has no issue roasting his ass like they’re doing to Cora, Hinch, Altuve and the rest of them.

That's fair and I won't argue. If you hire him and pass up all over the other qualified candidates you should at least stand by him and your decision. If you were going to toss him, then don't hire him and bring in one of the Joe's.

Having him quit was a giant mistake and will hurt the team badly

Yeah, the same results as Girardi. Loser in the playoffs.
Are they roasting Gerrit Cole or nah? He was there and said what? Oh nothing. lol
