This and Wacha are good moves for an already good rotation. We just need to address the bullpen with 2 proven RPs add a little more depth on the bench and I think we are ready to rock. Our young core is going to get better. Rosario, McNeil and JD Davis specifically. Alonso will probably not match his output from last year but if he comes close we are contending. Syndegaard has to return to form as well, he was really disappointing last season.

I kind of feel like we addressed the bullpen without even meaning to. Signing these two knuckleheads allows Lugo to stay in the pen where he excels. Still think we need a piece or two in the pen.

If the Mets aren't gonna attempt to compete, then please don't trade any prospects and just stop. This is worse than I expected and hopefully once the sale goes through, we can go back to having some hope again.

With the money coming off the books, and if rumors of Cohen not just sitting on his ass and letting the franchise turn to shyt.. are true.. then we can buy our way I to contention with our core and a few pieces. While rebuilding what little we have left of the farm.

What are you talking about? Trade Alonso? McNeil? For who and why?! They did compete last year. They had a winning record in a division with two playoff teams and the WS champ. They are close to having a winner/competitor. It would be dumb to blow it up now.
