The Mets game traded for Houston center fielder Jake Marisnick for two minor Leaguers I don't know about and who don't look like much of anything.

The last Houston player we got for scraps turned out well, and this move seems like it'll do the same. Marisnick is a better defender than what's available in free agency, he is a good base runner and is still under 30 and cheap.

I like this move a lot. We needed a good glove for the outfield

Replaced Lagares, one of the worst players in the league, with an above replacement level 5th OF. Great deal.

The Wilpons were not the best owners but they also weren't the worst. I just think sharing the city with the Yankees makes a lot of Mets fans jealous. They get a bad wrap. The only thing they did that was bad was getting caught up in the Madoff mess which happened to a lot of people not just them.
I think Fred is a great guy and have been involved with him indirectly professionally. Jeff was the problem, typical rich kid who was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.
That being said I am excited for new ownership especially him being the richest majority owner in the sport now.
