Lincoln Riley's name is mentioned for NFL jobs a lot.

Why?

Did he build a contending program? Did he turn around a contending program? Did he change a culture?

No.

Bob Stoops won 11 games each of his last 2 years before Lincoln took over.

Lincoln continued what Bob had already been doing. :yeshrug:

For the NFL, they are looking for a turn around, builders of a franchise.

Lincoln has not shown that in his head coaching career. :manny:

He continued winning with an already winning program. Now, that isn't easy because many have even failed to do it.

To think he is special? No NC titles. Embarrassing losses in the last 2 playoff games against other elite programs.

Now how will that translate to the NFL where competition is more of an even playing field? :jbhmm:

they like him for a reason, and his offense is very good, y’all not trying to give the man no credit, and winning a chip isn’t all on coaching nor does it qualify you to be a nfl coach

Of course they like him for a reason. :skip:

Gave the man credit. Said he carried on tradition. :manny:

But, more is required in the NFL. He is not going to inherit in the NFL what he inherited at OU.

It will be uncharted territory for him if he makes the leap to the NFL with a franchise that needs fixing, building.

If he does it, cool. :manny:
