They'd be fools to move Brown for Bamba. Ideally if your Ainge the most you want to give up is Hayward and then whatever assets you have that aren't players
Why would a losing team want Hayward at 30 mil?
Seems like too much
That's why you add in other assets to sweeten the deal. Hayward + Kings pick + future Celtics pick would be enough.
There's some risk in losing the Kings pick if your Boston but no bigs are really available in next years draft and you can only play so many guards and wings so it's risk worth taking. The losing team will lose again next year but then they'll have probably a top 10 pick, an all-star and a late 1st to build on out of the deal. Some teams could be interested like Memphis who aren't really interested in tanking anyway.
they arent trading hayward
the reason they even got him was because of his relationship with stevens. So he gets injured and trade him a year after they did the same with i.t. that will fukk up their rep league wide
Jaylen brown is not better than hayward, if any wing gets moved it's brown. If boston really wants bamba trading brown to atl, memphis or dallas makes sense
They had Brown and Tatum and still signed Hayward. Did they take Tatum thinking he was gonna be mediocre? They can do whatever they wanna do
I just feel like it makes no sense to keep Hayward's salary on the books when you have Brown and Tatum proven to be one of the best 1-2 punches in the league at that 3 spot, bring back Kyrie and add a big man. We've seen the team with Kyrie, we haven't seen it with Hayward. Hayward is much more expensive than Brown, and we've also seen Hayward lead a team, not Brown, so that's the angle for the team that's losing.
It doesn't matter to me what direction they take but if I'm Ainge I try to see if I can move Hayward first instead of Brown. That's just my assessment.
stopped listening to him because of that, at least before he would talk other teams but since the Ringer this guy just brings up Celts with everything, its like listening to a Celts podcast instead of a nba oneBill simmons is such a bytch...
