The rush is because it's a damn sham right now. It's honestly embarrassing that out of 130 schools only 4 make the playoff. I'll say that Alabama is the clear favorite, but 2-4 can be beat by anyone is the top 10 and if Georgia wasn't a complete fukkup maybe they could beat Bama.
Also, with the introduction of the CFP, the rest of the bowl games that are played are even more useless. I personally think it should be 16 teams, but I'm willing to settle for 8.
You need the top 10 teams to make it. Too many schools to just have top 4. It's will also stop us from seeing Bama and Clemson every year in the final. There is always a team that comes out of nowhere and knocks off the big dogs in the NCAAThis. I don’t understand the rush or the anxiety to expand it, unless it’s to 6.
That said, I agree with you on Championship weekend, Big 12 actually got the best formula, top two teams meet up in the title game. It’s shytty when 7-5 Pitt and 8-4 Northwestern are making Conference Championship Games.

Adding too many teams into the CFB playoffs would do the same. It may be cliche but the way it stands now, every week is a playoff game. Every game matters.
It's the whole reason why Oklahoma got in over Ohio StateCollege football has a boring regular season. There are a few games we get hyped for and that because they're rivalries. Every week is not a playoff game when you know the outcome at the end of the year. Clemson schedule is garbage, they played cupcakes all year and they just waltz right into the playoff. Their schedule was UCF status. But because of their pre-season ranking, they can't drop and team like Ohio State who had a tougher schedule can't take their spot. Notre Dame who won't join the damn ACC gets to play in the playoffs even though they don't have a conference title is trash.
Now I'm not saying Clemson or Notre Dame aren't great teams, but this whole "regular season matters" narrative has to stop. It's embarrassing, and when the playoffs eventually do expand, mfers who been trying to stop the expansion from happening are going to be looking ridiculous.

The LSU L is also the reason why UGA didn't get in.
So tell me again how the regular season doesn't matter
Because UCF an undefeated team for the last two year who played the same caliber of teams Clemson did didn't get in. I don't care if they'd get blown out by a team. They have the resume to play for a chance to win it all. Notre Dame does not play for a conference title. The regular season didn't matter in 2014 and in 2015 as well when well deserving teams were left out.
UCF has played no one worth mentioning the past two seasons. If they wanted to get in the playoff then they would schedule strong OOC opponents like Houston & Boise St did/does and beat them. Instead they puss out when given the opportunity to do so so fukk emBecause UCF an undefeated team for the last two year who played the same caliber of teams Clemson did didn't get in. There's nobody they should be in over

These FSU fans were getting on my damn nerves talking about side like he already did something on the college level
FUCC THAT!!! I've always hated teams who didn't even win their conference getting into the CFP & BCS title game.I like the idea for the conferences, and how they play their games top schedule vs bottom schedule that way you don’t get some school sliding in the chip that has no business in it, and possibly playing a higher bowl game than they deserve
I say don’t rank anyone until week 6 that way it eliminates some teams from getting that back door to the playoffs because they never fell far from the rankings,
I’m fine with the committee picking make it 6, i won’t say win the conference because every great team may not win the conference

I was always a huge defender of the BCS, but I would only consider willing to expand to 8 if conference champs have an automatic gauranteed birth.
Houston just scheduled to open 2019 with Wazzu two months ago. Try again.Schedules are made years in advance. If you compare their schedule to Clemsons they look the damn same to me.
